Auction for 3G spectrum in 22 circles is finally ended after intense bidding among telecom players for 34 days. Total revenue for govt: 67,700 crore (Government expected 25,000-35,000 crore)  Highlight: No operator won pan-india license.  1. Bharti Airtel won licenses in 13 circles by paying 12,300 crore. It failed to win license in crucial circles like Punjab and Gujarat. 2. Reliance communications won licenses in 13 circles by paying 8,590 crore. It failed to win license in circles like Andhra pradesh, Karnataka, 3. Aircel won licenses in 13 circles for 6,500 crore 4. Vodafone won licenses in 9 circles by paying 11,617 crore 5. Idea Cellular won licenses in 11 circles by paying 5,675 crore. Idea missed high ARPU circles like Mumbai and Delhi. 6. Tata Tele won licenses in 8 circles by paying 5,864 crore 7. S Tel won licesnses in 3 circles by paying 337 crore Delhi and Mumbai emerged as most valuable circles which were won by Bharti Airtel, Reliance and Vodafone.
