Congress Party president picked Prithviraj Chowhan as the new leader of Maharashtra Congress Legislature Party. Prithviraj Chauhan (64) is an Union Minister and is famous for his honesty and a staunch loyalist to Gandhi family. He urgently needs to improve the image of Maharashtra which was tarnished by corrupt politicians. Sonia Gandhi accepted Ashok Chavan resignation
Congress party President Sonia Gandhi asked Maharashtra Chief Minister to resign due to his alleged involvement in Adarsh Housing society scam. She waited for the completion of Barack Obama’s tour to take that inevitable decision before the commencement of Parliament’s winter session.
